I'm sure mine is sitting with around 25k mikes on the clock mate, and still pulls like a train. It. Doesn't sound to bad either ;)

What has been done to your bike? Ie has the gearing been altered and does it have a PC, as that's 1 of the most common things to get done, to help the snatchy fueling.

I'm sure most folks change the gearing also. I'll find out what mine is running and get back to you.

Also if the suspension hasn't been looked at, I'd advise a decent rear shock with a Dan Kyle linkage (which makes it ride like the SP2) and get the forks revalved and sprung.

Apart from that the engine is really solid with very few known problems.

Only real problem you will then have is deciding which bike to take out.
Personally I love the fact you have to put in a little effort to get the most out of the bike, but the rewards you get are great and as I said, I can't help but smile every time I ride it.

Oh and for an older bike the brakes I find are really good.

I can't see any money being lost on a decent condition one of these.
