Where to buy coolant/anti-freeze in Lincoln

Just realised that I only have 2 litres of coolant and the bike needs over 3 litres so my plans to flush it all out this weekend are in danger of failing and stopping me putting it all back together. Does anyone know any shops in Lincoln that would have coolant in stock? Always used to use HG for stuff like that, and it's too late to order from DT or Opie Oils.

Also realised that the coolant I have is nearly 4 years old, but as it is sealed I guess it would still be OK.

Would have put this in the Lincoln group but the tumbleweed has made it all dusty in there

 

Try RWH they are top lads in there and reasonably priced.

Or speak to Terry in Italia Motorcycles (wish we had a Honda dealers in Lincoln as good as them!! Saying that wish we had a Honda dealers full stop).

Would thought most if the bike dealers would, B and B , webbs , Italia etc, not sure if halfords would do it too

 

Cheers folks. I did check Webb's website but it don't mention such stuff and Halfrauds only seem to have Car coolant. Will have a ring around the stealers and RWH, would expect the dealers to charge too much though.

Mate, Halfords standard 2 year coolant is not just car antifreeze, it is suitable for motorcycle engines too. Just make sure it meets the spec in your owners handbook. Ethylene Glycol based. Do not use the VW spec G coolants.

As far as the age of your coolant, it does not lose its properties to protect against freezing, unless you add more water and dilute it, but its ability to stop corrosion deteriorates over time, that's why you change it

 

We also have a massive online retailer behind the Esso petrol station on Newark road, just off Brant road. I know its the wrong end of town for you, but one of the guys there used to work at HG and knows his stuff (plus they're cheap).

I've used comma xstream G30 for the last couple of changes that I've done. But after my last change I was looking for something else at ECP and spotted this:

TRIPLE QX Red Ready Mixed Antifreeze/Coolant - 5ltr

It seems to meet the same specs and with ECP you can collect or they deliver free - so would work out a lot cheaper than the comma.
