I was there on the Friday last year, fantastic weather because it was practice you could sit in any stand or go where ever you wanted. I was busy but not to busy so viewing was spot on and because it was the Friday tickets were cheap......
I got full weekend tickets at the NEC Bike show last November for £50 a ticket - no allocated seating Ticket for race day on the day was £85 - no seat Its an ace weekend but last year the weather was perfect - could have been very different. Bought a roving Grandstand ticket last year and had never been to the Motogp before, I think the best stand was in the complex before the start finish straight, awesome, fantastic racing particularly Moto 2 with Scott Redding. I looked this year but they seemed to only be offering allocated seating so I did not bother. I live close so may just ride up on the day and take my chances.
Agree with the roving grandstand ticket. We had these tickets last year and expected to struggle to get into some of the grandstands, wrong! There was plenty of seating, even on race day! Silverstone laid on a great weekend last year, so if you're going this year I'm you sure you won't be disappointed! Just whatever you do, don't tie yourself to a particular grandstand - go roving!
Ive been the last 2 years 3 nights camping with roving grandstand tickets had a fantastic time not sure if there doing roving grandstand tickets this year though but get tickets for Club corner great view Boo
