    afternoon all

i have mounted my camera on top of my lid and got it lined up ok now but when i plug it in to my laptop to view the footage is shows on the screen sideways ( i have to turn the laptop on its end)
i have twisted the lense round and that views upside down,i view it through windows and not a editing programme if that makes any difference?
any advice would be brilliant as its really pi$$ing me off now

    cheers

I think you can twist the lens on the drift cameras and you might've it twisted 90degs hence why footage is coming out like that, the view finder on it might not show this

Yep as SPS says, there's a small arrow on the lens casing ... twist the lens until this arrow is at the top and this should show correct position you want.

I set mine up using the drift app on my tablet or phone, there's a version for Android and ios. Or use the little triangle on the lens to get tne right orientation as others have said.

As long as the lens is the right way up they are quite simple.
is there any way you can check the footage out on another laptop just to eliminate the cam.
maybe shoot a v short clip 10 seconds etc and post a drop box link?

U have the answer Raph', you need to turn the Lens through 90 degrees if the screen is facing upwards.

Little tip is you can't slide the camera outa the mount with the screen like this so U have to turn it back again if removing from the mount, just don't forget to put it back again if that's how you'll be running it mostly.
