Morning all, Picked up a lovely '06 Blade yesterday. Very happy so far, look forward to having a good read of the forums. All the best Daz
Hi Daz, welcome. Plenty of ideas how to blow your wages on a bike around here. Enjoy the blade, and enjoy the forum
Morning both, I went for the silver and black. Pic attached I took her out for a ride yesterday as I'm used to a 916 and what a lovely ride. Felt very solid on the road. Obviously the sounds and pick-up are very different to a Duke, but loved it from the get go. However, and this may sound a bit daft... I didn't find the speed of pickup in 3-6 as blisteringly quick as I've read about. But this could come down to the person I bought it from hasn't had it serviced for 2 years and 3k miles. So I'm booked in on Monday for a service and overall check. I'm also feeling a bit of front end judder (which I knew about) under front end high speed braking. So having the balance, rotors and other bits checked. Overall though I love the bike. Mean looking, sounds incredible and without the judder, a dream to ride.
Do you mean from 3 - 6 gear or revs? The bottom end is going to feel shocking compared to the duke, it's all tuned for top end scream and is never going to have the torque of the twin
Thanks fellas, yeah it was between this colour and the red and black. Love this though. Cheers Lamb. I guess I need to open her up a bit ;-)
Did someone say Black n Red ! Welcome Daz... Lovely bike and also the sexiest shape ! Next stop, go and get the suspension set up professionally to your weight ! I haven't noticed a judder on mine :/ Like it was mentioned before.. Hasn't got the torque your used to so its all about making it scream... Just like the bird. The real fun starts when you get the beatch screaming
