Hi need a little help here please.
I have an 07 RR7 and the temp is running up to over 108-110 the fan is coming on and off. Now when the fan comes on it cools the rad down but not the motor or the gauge on the clock does not lower. If I blip the throttle the temp slowly lowers and the rad gets hotter again. I have replaced the thermostat and the rad is clear of any blockages. I have taking off the pump and all is fine in there also.
Any ideas am I missing something as this is doing my nut in ?
Thanks for you help in advance !!

Is it running that hot all the time ? My RR6 runs around 85-95 and as soon as i hit traffic or sitting still it soon goes up to the same temp as yours ! I read on here somewhere last week that its not an issue until it hits about 120 but 110 starts to concern me too :/

It used to run fine 80-90 up until a few weeks ago. Nothing changed with the bike it just started to run a lot hotter. But my issue is that the fan is cooling the rad to the stage of it feeling cold with the fan running and still the temp won't drop till the motor gets a blip.

Maybe coz we both have winning red ones... Maybe they're a bit more fiery :)

Hmmm, thats a bit strange ! I'll look forward to find out why that is too ! I haven't noticed what my engine is doing in relation to my rad :/

But does your temp go down when you rev the engine. Sitting at the lights whit the fan running blip blip and it drops about 2-3.

What's the chances of two bikes from wicklow with the same problem? Mines with the bray honda centre and just had the temp
sensor changed yesterday and still the temp staying up.

    That doesn't sound right.
As said, the RR6/7 does get hot quickly when stuck in traffic, but once the fan starts (about 103) the temp soon comes down.

You said that "fan is going on and off". What do you mean exactly? At what temp does it come on, and at what temp does it go off again?

Are the impellers on the pump okay, sounds like you are only moving the coolant when you up the revs. The drive on the pump, is it positive, it's not jumping the spline on the drive end? Did you test your stat in hot water?
