Got a new HM quickshifter plus today and fitted it as per instructions, put the bike back together and it wouldn't start. took it all apart again checked the plugs were in ok and nothing was broken put it all back and still it wouldn't start. took it apart again and put it back to standard and it fired up first time, am i missing something simple or could there be a issue with the HM loom. any idea's please people?

Does the control unit for the QS light up? Also check you have a good earth and that the HM coil loom is fully pushed together with control unit loom.

Short out the two pins on the sub loom (the connector that connects the coil loom to the HM Plus) then see if it starts, if not then you have a faulty loom, if starts you have a faulty shifter.

Well just an update got it working, after testing the loom there was a broken wire between the plug and the No1 plug repaired with new wire and off she went.
    Big thanks for your help..
