Folks, Going a wee trip abroad shortly and I'm looking for some advice on a quality wet chain lube (spray can) to carry with me any1 recommend anything. Dont like the dry stuff always feels nothing is on the chain thanks Jim
think most on here use wurth dry lube but a few use Castrol racing with no bother, I hav been using muc off through the winter with no bother and very little fling
I have swapped to worth dry chain. But prior to that I used the Castrol chain wax, one of the better ones for cling and fling lol
Wurth dry lube is the best I've used. Zero fling. A quick spray every 200miles or so and a clean and re-lube every 600miles ish.
Wurth do a 150m can I use when touring but to tell you the truth I never needed to in the 2k I did in less than a week. Still worth taking give any a shout at on the demon tweeks board for this Wurth High Performance Dry Chain Lube - Demon Tweeks
Tried them all but have found this to be the Dogs Doodies SDOC100, cleaned rear wheel yesterday, applied spray and have done about 70 miles, wheel still spotless, not cheap though. SDoc100 | Motorcycle Cleaning Products | White Chain Spray | sdoc100.co.uk
Day two and now 150 miles covered, chain still nicely lubed and rear wheel still clean, Sdoc 100 differently does what it says on the tin, highly recommended.
My own tuppenceworth. If you ride year round in all conditions, then in my experience the dry lube just does not cut it. Have been using the Castrol for a few years and seen very good results, just done chain and sprockets today after 21k miles mostly in harsh commuting conditions, never seen anywhere near that life with dry lube.
sDoc100 Chain lube for me. Works brilliant. Comes in a tiny can to keep under the seat and can be refilled from the bigger 300ml can.
Yes the SDOC is the way forward for Touring mode. It's the only small can that can be refilled from it's bigger 300ml brother.
Just ordered some white chain spray on your recommendation so hope it's good been using wurth for last few years so will give it a go
You won't be disappointed Clarkey, 4 days now and some 350 miles covered, back wheel still gold colour Best to put on chain night before and spray on inside edge of chain, top tip and free to you for choosing sDoc100 lube ;-)
Well guys another update on sDoc100, did track day yesterday, chain still lubed and rear wheel nice and clean. Big thumbs up to the Germans who invented it.
