Halfords have Muc off 1Lt spray £5.00p. Down from £8. something. Is it good and is the price good? I use Autoglym stuff, it gets fling off really well. but its £14Lt. cheers, Mike.
I'm wondering if Muc-Off for cycles is the same as the stuff for motorbikes as the deal in Halfrauds is for cycle stuff.
If it is the same I've used Muc Off on my Mountain bike for about 15 years on and off it does get the crud off but..... you have to watch it. leave it on there for a few seconds too long and it really can attack some finishes, one of my mates turned hi black anodised wheels a purplely colour. Ozz
I use muc off a lot on my bike and never had any issues with the product affecting any finishings including anodising, but that said I make sure I never let the product dry on the bike (most cleaners will mark finishes if left to dry without being washed off!). If it's a particularly hot day I don't spray whole bike only smaller workable sections to make sure I can wash it off before it drys! Also worth noting to try and not wash a vehicle in direct sunlight, I know bright sunshine is a rare sight in some parts of the uk but it apparently does happen!
Pretty sure I have read in the muc off publications info all the pink muc off bio cleaners are the same product just different outer sticker to give slightly differing instructions depending on the label in question!
certainly never let it dry, we were just rinsing the bike off after a ride the stuff was on there for literally seconds... just unlucky maybe. What i was really trying to say was it does work well, like I said I still use it just go easy until it's not going to damage your pride & joy... Ozz
