Hutchy has had an off in Supersport. On his way to hospital for a check up, bike was on fire. Hope he is ok. Edited to add: Apparently is ok, as he got out on his SBK.
Just heard Simon Andrews had another big crash and is in hospital in critical condition! This guy really needs some luck!!
Just seen a post on FB about this. This guy has no luck what so ever. Really nice bloke as well. Wish him a speedy recovery.
Real shame about Simon Andrews. Been chatting to him on twitter a few weeks ago as well. Really hope he is ok. On the racing front, that race between Michael and William was friggin awesome to watch. Absolutely incredible race. As for Michael in that last one, well, I don't think he will be able to use the old 'new bike' comment again. Sheer awesome speed. Felt a bit sorry for Rutter as I thought he deserved a win. Some excellent riding from the old man.
Just back from this I witnessed the Simon Andrews incident - thankfully did not see him impact the curb as it was horrific, I was running for cover as the bike could have bounced our way I would think he has had some massive injuries that are not being reported fully as yet - we think his rear suspension may have collapsed, the bike went into a massive tank slapper at 180mph going in a straight line before spitting him off and the bike sliding about 400 meters (maybe more) down the road in a shower of sparks but just one small burst of flame for a split second as it came to a halt.
Sounds horrific mate. Really hope he recovers. Read that he is off life support, but still critical and that his family are with him. Still doesn't sound good.
