R.I.P , such a sad loss I am really feeling for his family right now. Time for peace, reflection and respect.
You ve hit me hard mate................ Im gutted for the man and his family (From here in Evesham) RIP Simon......
Rip Simon. Such bad news . Thoughts with his family and friends. I knoll know him from what I've seen on TV but seemed a bloody nice guy
Devastating news, especially when earlier news of him coming off life support sounded more positive. RIP Simon
Got back late last night from Portrush and all the talk on the boat was about Si's crash and how bad it looked. I was in the petrol station before Metropole and the bike seemed to slide for ever, it was the worst thing I've seen at the north west. I am so gutted for his family and friends; I hope they take a small comfort from knowing the deep affection their son was held in and the sense of sadness that every road racing fan feels tonight. His dad gave this interview this evening "Road racing was in his blood and Simon preferred the roads to short circuits. He was fully aware of the dangers involved but he loved the challenge that that offered. Simon always said ‘Once you’ve been on the roads there’s nothing else to compare with it." Remember as well that Franck Petricola remains seriously ill in Belfast this evening after his crash in practice, and former irish superbike champ Michael Pearson is critical after a crash. Thoughts with their loved ones also.
Had a lump in my throat when the news broke. such a talent and genuinely nice bloke. Huge loss to the sport. RIP Si...
