    I'm not sure I'd risk a pattern oil filter or eBay oil. Call me soft but I value my engine more than saving a few quid. Sorry el- nicko

    Not sure if it helps how you spend your money Nick, but I got castrol equivalent oil from halfords (£32) and filter from honda (£11) for £43 total. You'll need to blag a trade card from halfords though, but that wasn't too difficult for my mate when he did it.

    Good price that Andy. .definitely for the few extra pound it's well worth it for the peace of mind

    Well can I just say, I'm going for 'Motul' because that's what the dealer used when they serviced it and I've been using to 'top-up'. Also, I've always used 'Hiflo' filters in my BMW too without a problem. I like the free p+p too 'cos it's a real boring 40 mile round trip to our 'local' Halfords.:(
