I'm not sure I'd risk a pattern oil filter or eBay oil. Call me soft but I value my engine more than saving a few quid. Sorry el- nicko
Not sure if it helps how you spend your money Nick, but I got castrol equivalent oil from halfords (£32) and filter from honda (£11) for £43 total. You'll need to blag a trade card from halfords though, but that wasn't too difficult for my mate when he did it. Andy B
Well can I just say, I'm going for 'Motul' because that's what the dealer used when they serviced it and I've been using to 'top-up'. Also, I've always used 'Hiflo' filters in my BMW too without a problem. I like the free p+p too 'cos it's a real boring 40 mile round trip to our 'local' Halfords.
