Is it possible to disable a datatool system 3 alarm without fully removing it.

It's far too sensitve and auto arms 30 seconds after the ignition is turned of so always goes off when filling with petrol.

I don't want to remove it, just disable it in such a manner that it could be reinstated if required. Does anybody know how to do this ???

Put it in maintenance mode. With key in and ignition on, press and hold the left button on ya fob. Will only bleep once every 30 seconds, or summat.

Thanks for the comments guys it is appreciated but I already know how to put it in service mode, I probably explained myself badly but I want to disarm it permantly so it was like it was never fitted but be able to revert back to operational if I so choose at a later date. I believe you can link out some terminals in the circuitry but not sure how you do this or how reliable this method is.

I paid £50 for a local datatool dealer to disarm my system 3 on my previous bike. He just opened it up and removed a terminal block and that was that. If I recall he said it could be re-activated.
