Looking at getting some cheap unpainted fairings after Friday's mishap. Was thinking that instead of having them painted I would have them vinyl wrapped. If I get the company logo and website on them then I could probably justify a company contribution for advertising. Anyone have any experience of wrapping a bike, or even know the rough costs of having it done?
I watched a demo of a bike being done at the sign show in Birmingham a few years ago. Very impressive to watch, and the results were superb. They were also doing a Ferrari in metal flake green, and one in Matt white, both looked amazing. Something they were doing in the demo, that I have never seen out on the road, was applying designs and logos in vinyl first and then wrapping over them. They were really subtle, but one of those things that really made you look twice up close. Very cool !
There used to be a company in Slough called wrap my bike they charged between £500-800 depending on the colour scheme, they went under due to lack of demand as that was all they did but there are other companies out there that do it
Before I found out that it was offered as a standard paint job on CBR600s I really fancied the idea of wrapping my blade in the ol Camel Racing Livery. I got a quote of 'around £500 mate!' this was with absolute signs in Stortford, I tried them as they have wrapped some of my designs onto cars for me. Hope this helps
Speak to wicked coatings and get them dipped, will be alot better and prob stronger, I'm pretty sure they can do pretty much any design
Look up Alex at Vivid Vinyl, they are wrapping high end cars, show cars and other bits and bobs, very competitive prices too. Based in Coventry, but from up you neck of the woods... Found His site Vehicle Vinyl wrapping from Vivid Vinyl
My mate got his carbon BMW S1000RR wrapped in Rutters Bathams livery from Craig Chalkie White. Looks amazing and appeared in Performance Bikes and Fast Bikes Mags. Price was around the £300 mark.
Cheers all. In the end went for some chinese fairings as the price worked out a lot better, for that read cheaper.
