I have used 2 types now of exhaust wrap /heat protector to try and stop the exhaust melting the belly pan and both have been crap ,used the tin foil type padding which just burn and the bandage wrap stuff which is shit as well.

Is there any decent stuff out there that does the job it's supposed to as my exhaust is very close to the belly pan need something decent .

    Cheers

Cool-It Insulating Exhaust Wrap was what I used when I noticed my belly pansstarting to melt, did my first track day after the wrap at snetterton yesterday and didn't see anymore melt
So fingers crossed, however 7x 20 min inter sessions maybe not quite as much heat as a race?

Just realised mine is the same as Si's above :) good stuff so far

Could prevention be better than cure. Will it space out? What are other BMW racers doing?
