I have bought my last 3 lids from them and all been great and never had a issue with using them. Bought all from the NEC show though.

Shuberth, Shark and now Arai Rx7 which I have used over the years

i tried some ear plugs they hurt my hears.. they were the rubber type..

That Schuberth S2 look like its a good price...think its a recent reduction in price..?

Arais tend to be noisy-ish, but the RX7 has always been nosier. Schuberths are always said to be among the quietest of lids and luckily if an Arai fits the Schubert probably will as well. As for ear-plugs the best bet is to get a sample pack with multiple types in. I used to use Howard Leight Max Lite Ear Plugs, which were good but could catch my lid when I put it on. One day someone gave me a pair of Moldex Spark 7800 and they fitted so much better especially when putting my lid on, and I tend to use those on track. If commuting etc I use Shure SE215 headphones with Comply tips which act as noise reducers, not as good as earplugs but good enough.

Bought 2 helmets from them, excellent service. BTW if you buy a helmet mail order Distance Selling applies, so you can return it if it doesn't fit.

    Did you have the S2?

i tried this on..and the medium seemed very tight to get on..also is this lid quit as they have closed on the bottom of the lid? as thats were the most amount of noise come in from?

thinking it will get very hot in there?

I live near the chichester branch of helmet city, I brought my leather trousers there and my boots.. There very helpful and happy for u to try anything on and not pushy... I highly reccommend them u won't regret it, be a nice trip down there to meet them. I will be gettin some new leathers from them soon as I get the cash... Not a massive shop but enough selection in my opinion

Odd...as i called them again to find out about a replacement rear spoiler for my Arai GP - again felt like they just wanted to get me off the phone...

Anyway - as they were not willing to give me any advise or answer any questions i had about the Schubert Lid (i was told to check youtube reviews, made me think this helmet is not worth the chance.. and odd how they only have one picture of the lid on the site and they all have black visors yet supplied with clear.

I have bought myself a Shoie XR1100 - had this lid before and it was just awesome..

No I had the S1 pro it was great and i used it for touring and it was very quiet. Too quiet with a helmet on. I could not hear any one with the lid on and plugs in when trying to talk to them
