Does anyone know if the top vent on the RX7 GP removes for cleaning. It's looking pretty shitty in there.

I usually use the cotton buds but I was thinking it was time it had a proper clean. I don't think it is right clever of Arai to glue it on.:(

It is removable if you drop it like I did to mine! Glued it back on but it now slightly rattles. The side pods aren't cheap either :( !

The spoiler and other vents are cheap enough if you go to a good dealer in arai's I had an RX7 GP and i replaced the 2 rear side exhausts the front vent and the top vent for like £35 and that included posting it away to have them fitted because there was something about the RX7's needing to go away for any work cos they were the top of the range?? I changed the colour of mine come back with in a week.

I assume they don't have removable vents because of the fact people would just be removing them all the time and braking the wee lugs off of them then complaining about the fact they rattle and how they don't know why even tho they take them off daily for cleaning with a screwdriver

Also they would have to put in recesses into the shell causing weak points in the structure to accommodate the clip in parts of the vent lugs

Ive also had about 4 sets of side pods over the years and i think their in the region on about £40/50 for 2? that's why i own a xlite 802r carbon now quieter lighter and better vents

I use an air line at work to clean mine out periodically, a can of spray air might do the trick also
