Hi all, Had my 2011 blade since new and barely used as had a tuono as a second bike. I,ve now sold that so the blade is the only toy but i need to get the handling sorted as not happy or confident with it. I,ve never touched the settings from new but it just feels harsh on anything but ultra smooth roads. I know getting it properly sorted is the answer but for now i,d like to try other peoples settings. I,m 15 stone and only do road use. Anyone of similar weight could share there settings to see how it feels. Bike feels to stiff with not a lot of sag at present and i,m running tyres at 32psi front and back. Nearly swapped it in at weekend for a 1050 speed triple but wanna see if i can get it right for me.
I'd personally get it set up by someone that knows what their doing, after all what's it cost £60 at the most? 32 PSI front and rear, what tyres are you using? I run 32/36 on the road with PR4's
Personally wouldn't touch another persons settings. Appreciate they all come out the same factory but the difference can make all the, well difference. As said. Few quid getting it sorting out professionally, get the rebound and sag sorted out should give better feed back. The fact you say it hasn't been touched since coming from the showroom, I'd say sooner rather than later. I'd wager it ain't even standard settings once you take into consideration every oik has had his/her finger nails in the settings screw.
If Leeds is accessible make an appointment with John at Alpha suspension, had mine done yesterday and it's a different bike, only cost £30 ALPHA SUSPENSION SET-UP - Contact Me / T&C's

A mate just had his RR4 set up prior to a week at Le Mans. These are the boys that did it, based in Saltash. He gave them a good write up! Andersons garage in Saltash, East Cornwall car, van and motorcycle servicing, repairs and MOT testing
