Must have been a hard video for his mum to make, lets be careful and don't ever trust car drivers! David's story: Road safety campaign - YouTube
Saw it earlier. Hard hitting as you say. The bit that got me most was when the car turns, and him saying "no". Rip David. And hope everyone learns from it and the campaign.
Tragic loss to his family....... and a harsh reminder to caution at junctions........... what speed is he travelling ?
Article I saw said about 97mph. Car driver didn't see him or the car he just overtook. Has been haunting me since I watched it.
Very sobering video that. RIP David and kudos to his family for making the very brave decision to publicise that. Slow down, everyone.
Not going to watch it or it will put me off we all know the risks a friend of mine was killed when they fell off a pedal bike at 15 mph hit head in the wrong place and that was it, I wish everyone would stop posting accidents and doom and gloom just my humble view.,
No point burying your head in the sand mate, that how accidents happen All bikers and drivers should be made to watch these videos to try and understand how not to let it happen again?
Yeah troubled me last night struggled to get it out of my mind when I was in bed,as Simon says we can all learn and if it saves one life it will have been worth it.
If this video saves an injury or a life then its been worthwhile. I plan to be more aware at junctions and keep a look out for junctions signs. Plus i plan to put blue lights on my mirrors . Again my thoughts go out to thr family and thanks to them for their permission for showing it.
