    Hi..

Can anyone shed some light on this..

I was out riding in France..and I had to ride at the back of the group... As they said my exhaust is letting off a real stink...

Anyone got any ideas to what could be the issue?

Leo Vince can without baffle and PCIII fitted

Camembert in the link pipe? ;)

Although I think it's more likely that either a) the engine was running rich for some reason, that can lead to a gassy aroma from the can, or b) the catalyser is nearing end of life and you're smelling the sulphur breaking down inside it.

How old is the can? Could be the packing material starting to degrade

Not sure how old the bike is.the can is bloody loud...with baffle in..made I think 103db at brands hatch..

I think my valve clearance check is due..got 16k on the clock.. Could this be the cause?

What year bike, what oil are you using, also did you use the E10/20 petrol in France? The exhaust itself is unlikely to be an issue, but if its as loud as my mates R1 then we don't follow him too closely!
