Want to get a helmet camera to record my rides. Not vlogging just for safety. With the ever increasing bad drivers out there I want to have to footage should anything happen to me or another moralist.

The camera market has so much choice.

What camera do you use. The drift ghost s looks good but it's expensive where as the roadhawk Ride is cheaper and still records in a good quality.

    Thanks

I've always used a gopro. At the moment i've got a hero3 black edition but to be honest it's overkill for what i need, i'm nowhere near smart enough to use it to it's full potential  The basic white edition gopro would be a good choice, i've seen them in argos at the moment for £160, and if you've got an argos card you can buy now pay 6 months later  I was thinking about getting one to mount on the bike somewhere as well as on ma heed! Only thing i would say about them is the built in audio is shocking, much better sound with an external mic. As for the drift cameras i've never had one so can't really help with that, have heard lots of great reports on them though.

Ive got the HD drift and find it works really well but you need the external mic as the built in mic picks up all the wind noise (properly the same with all the cams)

Sony action cam with the drift ghost go pro mount adaptor best mounts on the best camera.

Ive had 3 gopros and they have all failed on me and been replaced under warranty over a period of 3 years, to add to that my mates have had problems with theirs as well just plain not working.
Had the sony now for 2 year always worked been in crashes still works been on ops been shot at and guess what still works

So Sony with the drift go pro mount gets my vote :D

    GoPro 3+ black edition.
    Only recently got it though.
Don't think I would helmet mount it though, as too bulky.
Ghost looks better for helmet mounting.

Love my Drift HD Ghost and the film is quality too.
Mounts are a bit pricey for lumps of plastic tho lol
