Hi all just picked up my new RR4,what would you say the average running temp should be? Mine seemed a little high at around 90/95,up to 105 in traffic. And also some dopey lady made me pull the front brake pretty hard, and the bike came to a stop there was a judder from the front? Tried it at home and same thing, when pulling the brake hard and coming to and stop it juddered, any thoughts guys?

Judder can be caused by a few factors, especially given the age of your bike. Check to see if the calipers are clean and operate freely with no sticking pistons first, check also the age and condition of the pads as these can give trouble if they are some 10 years old!! Check the discs are not warped or damaged then you can go from there really. After checking that lot and it still does not cure it then you should look elsewhere like the front wheel bearings/ headset bearings.

Hi Guyblade, I have an RR5 that I've had from new and have suffered from brake judder all it's life! I now use it only on track and only recently have I managed to sort the problem! I took it to Kais Suspension where they fitted stronger springs in the forks.
First noticed it after only three months of ownership but only under extreme braking (ie. emergency braking). It usually was initiated by a slightly rippled road surface but as you can imagine, not good when you're rapidly running out of road!
It would seem that the forks were bottoming out under hard braking with no suspension left to deal with the bumps. All is good now, especially after fitting a Brembo master cylinder which gives phenominal braking power for track riding.
I think Wedgiewolves had the same problem and he couldn't find a solution so ended up selling it on!
By the way, I have 43,000 miles on the bike and think it was well worth persevering with to find a solution :)
