Hi, I have a 2013 Repsol Fireblade and ive dented the rear fairing, the part where the rear seat goes. I wanted to get a replacement so i rang my Honda dealer and was quoted £230- I asked for the Part number and was told they didnt give those numbers to the public???? Is this correct? Anyone tried an aftermarket rear fairing and whats it like versus the quality of an OEM part? Thanks
Have a look on Lings Honda as you can find the part number there. Also Ron Ayres in the US make their fiche available. If you mean the plastics then yes I have Chinese fairings in mine, and they are worth what you pay for them, but they are nit as good as oem.
Item 8 on here from my local Honda dealer. No reason not to give out the number, other than to stop you looking elsewhere. Its freely available on plenty of on-line places.
Thanks for info. So is not giving out part numbers a policy at all Honda Dealers or is my dealer just being a w**ker? thanks
That's interesting I just did a quick check out the Bournemouth and lings site for a rear cowl for a 2008 and the price differs by £3.33 should they not be the same where ever you go? Bournemouth Lings
So price isn't set in stone by honda, interesting guess that's why I've never got a straight answer from Farnham honda when asking for a price on parts buts that's another story
The only price set in stone is the cost price to the dealer, however this can vary depending upon status i.e. how much discount the dealer is entitled to which can be measured by how well the dealer meets the franchise standards and how well they perform, targets etc.
