Been looking myself recently too, you can't buy just a box of bricks or roof tiles etc anymore it's just sets it really pisses me off. My boy likes to build random stuff
We got the eldest the Imperial Star Destroyer about 5 years ago. Took him 2 days to build it and he was very protective of it. He rebuilt it a few times but to this day it is still in his room and even at nearly 15 would kick off big time if we said we were getting rid of it. A lot different to the lego of my youth.
I have a load of stuff here... if Harry wants to part with it...then you can buy it from me ...can't give it away mate though.
My son's got loads of the stuff but mostly all mixed up so hard to say which sets are complete. We ditched a load of it at a car boot sale in the summer cos he couldn't be arsed to sort it all out...
Some Lego goes for a fortune. I sold that Star Destroyer last year for £150 ish along with another Star Wars set which brought similar money. Glad to get rid of the Destroyer, if you looked at it the wrong way a bit would fall off !!
If you don't get sorted here you can buy random mixed blocks by the KG from various eBay sellers, usually washed and sanitised if that matters. Eta, just search eBay for Lego kg
im now 37 my little brother is 35 . we had lego on a table in a spare room as kids just given it all too my boys who are 9 and 4 . was in the loft at my mums . forgot how much we had . still the technics to bring out but so far found 2 castles and loads of knights and horses one airport one shell garage one fire station a hospital and ambulance post office one supermarket three spaceships and a lunar base thing . moon buggy a train and carrages with track . some motors and lights that all still work couple of ships that float nice in the bath one a tug the other a fireboat . car wise so far we have unearthed a police car fire truck x2 police wagon post office van a rubbish truck and a roadworks lorry no end of different cars and karts a few motorbikes road layouts and some moon type layouts . My dear old mum had kept all the instructions in a ring binder. The boys had some batman stuff and starwars so its all now lumped together. I have to confess its driving me mad as all i want to do is build it all back up into a town but they enjoy making random stuff. Think im becomimg Lord Buisness from the film .
