As the bike is running a bit warm I am thinking about getting a replacement radiator and replacing the hoses at the same time. If I did this and wanted to put Evans waterless coolant in would I still need to flush/prep the system?
Have a chat with lamb chops as he's pretty much done that or have a look at one of the blogs as in think it's on there?
Yes as above, would still be coolant in the engine. I used the flush on mine but just did it with the 2 litre prep doesn't have to be 100% full to save some money
I have just under 4 litres here Steve but it's had a timble full of floresent die added when I thought I had a head gasket leak. yours if you want it?
I see you used different Evans to the one I bought the other day LC.. guess there is not much difference, I bought the Power Sports R, see you put in the PS 180. I didn't buy the flush, but after seeing this think I will pick some up tomorrow.
aye i noticed that before I bought it but suspected it was a way of making more dosh out of you! Obviously I was too cynical
Yeah I think they rebranded some of it, they still list the ps 180? You defo need the flusher to remove the water otherwise dilutes the waterless Evans reducing its efficincy
Yup a must. I used this Evans Prep Fluid - 5 litre | WATERLESS ENGINE COOLANT then the waterless coolant in my kit car and works a thread. Not used it on the bike myself. A big thread last year about it http://1000rr.co.uk/mods-upgrades-accessories-products/8449.htm
