I have just been changing my 530 standard chain and 16/42 tooth sprockets today. I have a nice 520 with 15/43tooth sprockets.

Now I was on the understanding that my bike has 108 links in the chain. Mine is OE and never changed and i'm the first owner of the bike

Mine has 58 double joiners that I counted first and thought WFT. then counted the links and have 116

Now was I informed wrong of the standard chain being 108 ?

Just wondering what I am doing wrong. I have a 520 chain with I need to remove 4 links from the length to get to the size I have. But want to check before I start cutting

    Help

The standard chain is indeed 116 links, I have just fitted a new DID gold xring on my 2008 blade. Cutting 4 links off does seem a bit much as your going down 1 at front and up 1 on the back. Im guessing you mean 4 rivets which is 2 links.

glad 116 links is correct. i'm just going to measure the length of the new and old and make sure I get a similar length. I was more worried about not having the correct OE chain as I was told it was 108 links not the 116 I have

Only prob I have now i trying to get B&C to send me the links as they dod not come with the chain
