I've had my 2003 954 for about 6 months and in the past few months (since it had a service and fuel injectors replaced and the Akro taken off and fitted with a standard can to appease my neighbours) it's started making this irritating ticking/clattering sound. I've had it looked at by my mechanic but he cannot find anything wrong. Has anyone else had this problem? I've seen online it could be an exhaust gasket or carbon build up... I don't think it's running lean because I'm running it with a Power Commander (although this may be just as old as the bike...) Any help appreciated! Ro
Could be the header gaskets as said. Probably wouldn't hurt to whip them off, put new gaskets/exhauat paste on and see if that sorts it. Probably will
