Well despite the floor not being ideally screed for the size of the castors, Bill's new turntable works bloody well. With him safe on it I can push him 360 with one foot.

A good solution for such a small space...

Sinewave, I haven't got a clue mate. I gave the builder a fairly comprehensive, albeit layman' set of ideas for what I wanted in there but from what I can tell, I think he just wiped his arse on them. I got home one day and it looked like a chimp had been given a drum of cable and some side cutters, but worry not, J's uncle is a sparks of some repute. He's stood and looked around the garage, workshop, garden and drive, done that slow nod that craftsmen do and said:

"Don't worry, bey. Us'll sort this in the new year..."

Painting the floor is next, but I needed to empty my workshop of garage stuff so I spent the weekend boarding the loft. I've got about half of them laid but got twatted by a chest infection so I'm running on low power and coughing fits and skillsaws don't mix well, but I've cleared much of the workshop this morning and tweaked the turntable to fit the Blade. I'll need a few days solid to seal and paint the floor so I reckon that'll be next while I'm home, then finish the loft.

Once that's done I can draw up my work bench and fabricate that. Looking forward to turning my hand to a bit of welding, I'm generally a woodworking kind of geezer.

Oh I've got some security film for the window so I can watch the bird feeders while I'm grafting too.

Pig in shit comes to mind.

By the way, it's not an Abba stand I know, but that dolly only set me back £90, so I'm well pleased. I may just fabricate another 'roll back' stop that fits tighter to the back wheel so I don't accidentally push the stand past the point of no return. It's in gear but, Mr paranoia...
