Removing down pipes

    While the bike is in bits decided to clean up the down pipes, now thinking it would be easier to just remove and spray or get a set of stainless steel pipes. Can they be removed with the radiator still on or would I need to remove rad before?

    I think you can get them out by just unbolting the bottom of the rad where you bolt the rad guard to and lifting up slightly

    Normally you remove the bottom bolt of the rad the one that goes into the bit of metal that pushes the rad out at the bottom, that should give you some extra room to push the rad forward enough to get the down pipes off.

    Ive never had to do any more than that. On any of the systems that I have fitted
