Obviously wheel and callipers off, remove mud guard then there is 2 bolts per fork tube and slide out Oh and bolt for bars
Ah...was thinking maybe i could swap out one side at a time without removing the wheel. as new forks are are going in. means i have to do it outside using the bike lift..
You would end up removing the wheel eventually as the wheel bolt would need to be removed completely on the last leg
Done mine on paddock stand and ratchet strap from the rafters in my garage Piece off piss, wheel, brakes and mudguard off, undo, slide out.
Same here and this is why there such a brilliant stand for jobs like this , I forgot mine in August when I raced at Cadwell and no one had a spare paddock stand and I needed to change the forks so had to look around the paddock see what I can find to use to hold the bike up .
