Great video mate ... I assume there is an alternative method to setup if you don't have an android phone?

Great install video lamb chops ! Would you recomend fitting this the same time, before or after a PC V ? Also do we have any feedback post road tests from anyone ? As you show simple fit and the Ap looks good too, its the how it works now !

Great vid lambchops, I was surprised how sensitive the sensor is in that position.does the sensor get a reading before the shaft starts to turn like on a typical qs setup?

Thanks guys for the feedback on the vid, Robbo may as well fit at the same time as the PC while you have the tank off etc. That's the only reason you would need to do them together.

OCD windows PC is the other method, didn't try that yet mind..

Pajomad yes it picks up the input before the gear shaft turns.

Hi LC Firstly as always a cracking vid. Just so everyone knows I've had one fitted to my bike a 2011 blade now for 2 weeks ish now and have found that straight out of the box it seems ok. I've been out for a few small rides of about an hour each but I've also done a ride from Salisbury to north Nottinghamshire last weekend. The only other QS I've had was a Dynojet one which cut the fuelling side so wasn't very good so my comparison base isn't good, also I fit a QS for smile factor rather than to make me faster. I would like to have a play around with the settings and the kill times but one I don't know where to start and two I don't have an android device and the windows PC app isn't available yet, contrary to be told it was, although I was told that the apple app would take time to come out. So at the moment its android or nothing.

Would be worth it just to buy a cheap android phone just for adjusting this.

Definitely, plenty out there too, i bought a nokia luma whilst my i phone was getting a new screen, that would do the job and not a bad second phone.

Hi Arthur, I have been in touch with Healtech & they haven't received your email, can you resend it to me [email protected] & I'll make sure it gets through to them?
Where did you get the QSE from, there's a 2 year warranty on all HT products so if it came from us or from one of our dealers & there's an issue with it let me know & we'll either replace it or get it sorted for you.
    Regards,
    Mike.

    I will call them today.

Mike you may want to post up some tips from HealTech re kill times, Ive been asked several times re the QSE. I have given advise based on my road and track experence but as I have said my testing with the QSE is limited and restriced by minor issues, when I get time I will have first hand info re the new shifter, I am sure LC will post up his findings, when I have chace I will call them and request the info myself.

Just so everyone is clear. I've been in touch with Mike at BDS and he has contacted Healtech for me and the windows PC app and the Apple app are still in development at this time, the windows PC app is coming soon hopefully, so at the moment the only way to set up the QS is with an Android device, so you either need to get a cheap one, of which there are plenty about, or borrow a friends. Although it does work straight out of the box.

I bought a Healtech QSE from Mike at BDS just over a month ago. Excellent service and price .Not tried it out yet, waiting for a track day in the next few weeks. As I dont really do phones I've been also waiting for the windows app that seems to be taking an age to develop.I'm a bit fed up with waiting so I emailed Healtech, reply below:

    Hello Paul,

    Thank you for your email.

Demand was very low for the Windows software so had to re-schedule for later.
It is expected in about 4 weeks.

If you can, please borrow an Android phone from a friend for a few minutes.
    Setup is quick and simple.

Please note, the User's Guide was recently updated so it's best to read this version:

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

    Kind Regards,
    /Norbert

Interesting setup.. Will be doing this very soon now on mine! Perhaps even this weekend

    . Troubleshooting
    1. Make sure you are running the latest app version (Menu → About). Otherwise, update from the Google Play Store. On some phones, you need to press a button longer to open the menu.

    2. Start the engine and let it idle. Make sure the QSE LED light turned to solid GREEN.

    3. Connect to the module and make sure the app shows "Connected". Check whether the RPM indication under Settings is correct.

    4. Press the Reset to defaults button (at the bottom of the Settings screen).

    5. Under the Settings, set the Cut-off test to 140ms. Press the test button and see if the engine stops for a short time or not. The engine should stop momentarily (or even completely) when you push the Cutoff test button. This proves the module's output is working or not.

    6. Under the Settings menu, start the Sensor logging and follow the instructions on the screen: - Put the bike on a rear stand and have the side stand UP. - Put the gearbox in TOP gear. - Without the engine running, or with the engine running at idle and clutch pulled in, SHIFT UP 6 times with your normal shift speed and force. - See the average value of the six shifts and divide by two. - Set this number for the Sensor threshold. E.g. if you see the six shifts ranging from 35 to 45, then set 20 for Sensor threshold.

    7. Press Menu → Upload to store the changes in the module.

    8. Road test the bike and do full throttle clutchless upshifts. Fine tune the Sensor threshold if necessary: - If the shift lever is too hard, adjust the threshold LOWER. - If you experience unwanted cut-offs e.g. when touching the shift lever lightly, adjust the threshold HIGHER. - If you still experience a problem with the shifts, mount the sensor in an alternative position. Refer to the sensor install guide.

Won't be long, I update the firmware and adjusted the sensitivity as was way to sensitive, need to play will kill times lower down the Rev range but seems to work very well. Video to follow soon after some more playing. Would say it needs a little more effort to get right but has some great features including logging and super easy adjustment with the app.
