If he has a company car whats he worried about? Another thing you could do is ask a chipsaway guy to come and quote it at your work.Let them do it if Berk agrees. If its a shit job don't pay em.If its a good job you pay em.The shit job they would either do a better job or let you have it for nowt and you keep the berks money.Simples:D

Beware , We had a similar bump a month ago were a van bumped into our car on a roundabout .
The driver of the van was really nice and said his boss would sort it .
We exchanged names I got him to sign a note to say it was his fault and there was only very minor damage ( a couple of marks ) although it was a good thump !
Anyhow we booked it into the main dealer and a guy who does all the minor dints sorted a courtesy car out and took ours away .This was all agreed with the guys boss and all very polite .Now .....once the bumper was removed the bridging bar which is designed to take the hit had done its job and was bent and it needed replacing total job cost was £650.00 which was good value and the guy paid up all sorted . Just beware of what is behind the bumper foam filler may be damaged along with the support bar.

Either he agreed and pays before you have the work done or contact your insurance. So getting more quotes. why should you do all the running around

£200 FFS. I picked up a car park scratch on the MX5, right where the plastic rear valance meets the metal wing at the rear wheel arch. It was literally 4mm square but offended my eye whenever I washed it. I took it to an, albeit, fairly exclusive body shop in Exeter, but where I happened to know the workshop manager. He took one look at it, looked me square in the eye and said, "You're looking at £700 to do it by the book."

If I was him I'd take a £200 bill and rub my hands together.

    As said, call his company.

Always take photos at the first incident of an accident (even before you check the others are okay).

When I was in Canada in September last year, some guy got knocked off his motorbike and it slide into the back of my wife car. Details were exchanged and everyone agreed that the guy who knocked the motorcyclist was at fault. The police weren't called as everyone was okay and it was only minor damage to all vehicles involved (rear bumper on the wife's car damaged but £500 for repairs).

Two weeks after the incident and he's denying even being there - still going on!

The wife is now fully aware to whip out her phone and take as many pictures as possible with everyones reg plates in the pics.

Pictures don't mean a hell of a lot unfortunately as insurance companies (mine anyway) refused to accept it as any kind of evidence. Despite the fact that there is software out their to extract the details of an image snapped with a gps enabled mobile phone, they just don't want to know.
It's more about ticking a box than it is apportioning responsibility and protecting the people using their service.
    God I sound bitter! Lol

I work for vw . Our bodyshop charge sales £250 to spray a full front or rear bumper for ups polos and golfs goes up again for bigger stuff. One of the lads bumped a demo Touareg last week. Small 2 mph job into a car park post at the train station. The internal bill has just come across my desk . front bumper and a centre grill one fog lamp grill and one air vent then paint bumper and fit . £1650. It gets better same lad has reversed the Touareg into the same post as he didnt want to drive forward into that parking space in case he damaged it . Needs a rear bumper filling and painting now.
