    Hi Guys,

Just coming to the end of a road to race bike conversion of a new 2012 fireblade. It's my first time ever to do this and this forum has been such an invaluable source of info. Despite searching there are a few things I have yet to find an answer for so I hope someone out there can assist:

I've got a MotoCarbons FRP fairing set (same as Tenkate sell) and the tank cover doesn't seem to meet the sub-frame (MotoHolders) bolting pads at the back of the tank.

This made me start thinking about the fuel cap -

Does the tank cover sit ontop, just squeezing onto the outside of the rubber ring OR is the rubber ring removed, the tank cover installed and the rubber ring re-fitted ?

Sits down on cap should be a thin piece of rubber on tank where it sits in boss

OK, thanks a lot - will give it a go, perhaps I need to line it up a little better - A bit wary of cracking the FRP .

I bought it from Tenkate racing here - can't find the link for the back pad but it's on there somewhere ! Been buying far too much stuff from them !

I assume it's got the bracket in there aswell that sits on the subframe? (basically under the seat pad)

A little bit of silicon lube like you get with an Arai helmet helps it drop onto the seal easier

The seat foam is glued on to the tail fairing using contact adhesive. Tenkate sell seat foams that have the foam on a stiff board that bolts to the sub-frame, sandwiching the tail fairing but these were over £100, so I bought the seat foam at about £20-30
