I've just inherited two pairs of hardly used Alt-Berg boots. One waterproof and one high leg summer pair, both with pukka, off road grippy soles, from a retired ex-professional motorcyclist. They look very nice, no nonsense bits of kit with none of the Carlos Fandango colours and stripes that I had to settle on to get the boots I wanted when I 'bought' a new pair just last month (Doh!).

I confess, I'd never heard of Alt-Berg before and have only looked them up on the net since acquiring them.

I was wondering if anyone had experience of them and if so, how they got on with them.

Have been using alt-berg boots for my army training for years and are great boots, hard wearing and very comfortable and the best bit is that they can be resoled and reconditioned by them if they start looking a bit tatty?

ok mine are different boots but only heard good things about their bike boots as when I first went for fitting up in their shop there sold 3 pairs of bike boots while i was there all on recommendations from others

There's also two sets of custom BKS leathers with them too (he happens to be the same build as me), which I didn't want to mention as it engenders leather envy...
