Was out for my 1st run of the year today :) and we met at a BMW garage before heading out.

Was looking at a new BM1000rr (as considering getting one) and realised I'm fussy about small design touches... as per the example below o_O

Hadn't actually realised I was so fussy

I take it you're referring to a silver peg on a black hanger?

Yep, I noticed that too, i guess it's all about weight saving. Did you also notice the gap between the panel and the seat.

Prefer the look of the Honda, but I'll never understand the silver bits on a black framed bike decision. My RR7 has black frame, black swingarm, black subframe, but silver levers and foot rests etc.

You have to consider how many years Honda have been perfecting the blade.......... In my opinion the blade as it stands now is probably one of the most perfected bikes on the market. Admittedly not the most advanced........... but the most perfected.

It's like most things always moving forward with advances in technology and materials.who knows what we'll be riding in the future. But coming back to your post I definitely think it's the best all round road going sportsbike balancing road riding, looks, performance and reliability..and of course Hondas famous build quality..

for me it looks like the same cheap crappy box section that korean car manufacturers use as boot lifters.
my experiences of german build quality of late have put me off for life. Its Japanese all the way for me since having the blade. ;)

I'll pre-order the M version, it's amazing how much faster the diesel BMW cars go with that M badge on! I heard it adds 200bhp+

On the new blades it's no longer the best out there... Compare it to a Yamaha R1 and you will see what I mean. I've come from a Yamaha R1 and it beats the blade on build quality by a fair margin!

It's something I was disappointed about in fact.
