There is certainly a lot of buzz on social media with people suggesting Guy Martin for Top Gear.. But it's not him is it really...the show isn't really a "car" show anymore, just a vehicle for 3 egotistical knobs to earn stupid amounts of money from the license fee. Couldn't imagine him getting along with May and Hammond tbh, they probably won't scrap the show or even sack Clarkson, the BBC news today was all about how much money the show brings in...£ millions it seems into the company coffers. Guy would be good on an automotive show that covered bikes and cars, maybe co-presented with Tiff Needle and Vicky Butler Henderson..as a couple of names off the top my head
In my eyes it's entertainment and therefore any knowledge which is inadvertently passed on is a bonus. It is one of only err one shows which I watch put out by the BBC, and then only by accident. That is I don't immediately switch it off if it appears on my screen. I dislike everything that the BBC stands for, the cr*p they put out, the way they peddle their own agenda and the way I have no option but pay for it. However if he has struck a colleague then this would be "gross misconduct" and therefore an immediate sacking in any other job I can think off. So why not this one?
Clarkson should count himself lucky he doesn't work where I do... I got caught having a cat-nap on my break in the office at 4.30am during a 12 hour nightshift. Got suspended with a view to summary dismissal for gross misconduct....so I imagine swinging for someone would be a hanging offence Or maybe I should get a job at the BBC...they might provide comfy beds for night workers..
I said exactly this on facebook. I bet they got a couple of hundred complaints about his "slope" comment on Top Gear and they run around with their knickers in a knot trying to make sure that everyone knows just how PC and non-racist they are but then you've got a petition floating around with 400k+ signatures on it and they haven't uttered a word so far. I genuinely dislike the beeb. That's even before you start mentioning the fact that they turned a blind eye to the systematic sexual abuse of vulnerable children and women. Cvnts.......the lot of them.
Can't be doing with the bloke, hopefully he'll be sacked and the show will continue with a new presenter, may consider viewing again then.
Only thing I ever actually look forward to on the telly is Top Gear and like him or loathe him, his personality and antics are a large part of it. All we ever hear about is wars, police incompetence, politicians on the take and kids being abused everywhere yet Jeremy Clarkson is cast as the biggest villain since Adolf Hitler. I don't know what the "fracas" involved but I do know that without his non PC attitude life will be just that little bit more boring!
The BBC haven't sacked him as such, but they aren't going to renew his contract. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32052736
I know Top Gear is not just Jeremy But I know many only watched it because of what Clarkson, May and Hammond did on the show. My mum included and wife. Well thats the BBC fecked when it comes to selling stig soap on a ropes, Top gear live etc..... I really enjoyed it when the 3 came on and did what they have done for 10 years. And I know if they get togeather on Sky or another channel people will be watching them and not top gear
Yes im gutted but if you punch someone at work he left them no choice! And he was already on final final warning lol. Hope they all decide to move it to ITV and call it top dudes or something
How's about Chris Evans as a replacement presenter ?, or Paul Hollywood, who I understand is a bike fanatic, unlike JC who is just a tosser and a anti biker .
Paul Hollywood should stick to kneeding bread. Let's have an unknown , not some already overpaid celebrity .
Clarksons hate for bikes I think was just an act, I heard he has had a bike licence for years. To be honest I liked JC and I think he made the program what it was. I liked his I don't give a shite and I will say what I want attitude and I think that's what made the show what it was. Chris Evans I can't stand the bloke and never could don't know why just don't Can't see it lasting long without jc myself
Well I now have precisely no reasons to ever watch the bbc. Once the walking dead finishes that's me done with telly completely. Good luck bbc trying to get the same viewing figures, given that they've appointed a lady whose previous speciality was countryfile and who lives in leafy west London reading the guardian and sipping chai tea to find the new presenter.
