Currently, i use an iPhone with the TomTom app on it, but you cannot drag your own route into it, it only allows you toy plan a route, and use a few waypoints for routes along the way...not ideal. Can tomtom rider accept itn files etc or can you plan a route using google maps, and import that route to tom-tom rider?? The iPhone app is limited in the way that it cannot accept a route import, only the route that the app dictates. cheers.
Si, I am pretty sure there is a program called 'tyre' or similar to allow you to export google map routes and import into TomTOm format. Can't help I am afraid with exact details but hope above and some google time will help solve it
Is there a tomtom program for windows that you can plan a route and then download it to your satnav? I'm sure i used to be able to do that with my old tomtom one.
This is not much use if you want to stick with TomTom, but I use CoPilot for the iPhone (Free to download, but you'll probably need to spend around £20 on in-app-purchases to get it working properly) along with ITN Converter (http://www.benichou-software.com/in...onverter&catid=1:description&Itemid=2&lang=en) ITN Converter is a free, brilliant bit of software, allowing you to plot routes down to the last yard, and the export as a CoPilot file, which is then uploaded to the iPhone using iExplorer, also free, (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/?gclid=CKDdp6yi1MQCFTDKtAod8GIAig) It may all seem a little fiddly, but it's easy once you get to grips with it. I've planned several domestic and European trips with the above, and if it's the kind of thing you do often then it's a worthwhile investment of your time IMHO
Totally Agree ........... Garmin at the best on the market at the moment, I have one for the car and one for the bike.
