Power commander V Issue?

    Second hand Power commander V just fitted to a friends 11 plate Blade, all connected up accordingly, bike fires up and runs fine( not been out for a blast as the weather is shite ) but revs up and idles fine. The power light is illuminated green when the bike's running but the status light is not illuminated at all.

    Houston do we have a problem?

    It apparently has a map from the previous owner but it's not the correct one for my friends bike.

    Does the status light come on? I'm sure the power light on mine goes green when running but no status light, thought this only comes on when connected to laptop!

    Yes the status light flashes red when the ignition is on and bike not running, then goes out when we fire it up. Sounds like it's doing what it's supposed to be then. He's going to download and install a map tomorrow and see what happens.

    Connect a laptop and run the engine. You'll soon see if it is reading the throttle etc

    Dynojet website states that the status light should NOT be on when the bike is running. If it was lit, there would be a problem.

    The ON light should be green as soon as the key is turned.
