As above suggests I've just completed my first couple of hundred miles on the blade, as I bought It In November and only just put It on the road having bought It privately and giving It the once over during the the winter I took It steady (at first).
Hell what a bike, for somebody who past his test in 2012 and only been riding a 600 hornet since what an upgrade, I was amazed how easy It was to get to grips with It coming from a naked to a sports bike.

Obviously as a novice there's a lot more to come from me and the bike and I'm sure I'll never exceed the bikes capabilities but I'm sure I'll enjoy trying:D.

In today for some new boots :) M7rr's

Good man! Similar story for me, having passed my DAS nearly a couple of years ago now - started (road bike) life on a CBR600F which was an eye opener of a first 'big' bike having ridden nothing more than crossers and the odd mate's 125 before that, with the upgrade to the 'blade being my reward for keeping my nose clean :)

Not that I have much of a point of reference other than the other bikes I have test ridden, it is a cracking proper big bike which is very forgiving also. And plenty of scope for a few choice upgrades too should the mood (and your wallet) take you..! Just don't ask me how many exhausts I have bought for it since owning it... ;)

M7RR's on their way for mine too! Enjoy....

Good for you matey, enjoy the blade but take it easy. Don't get too carried away and build that confidence.

Did 6 years on a 600RR before getting the blade and loved it from the first ride. Remember it's not you exceeding the bikes capabilities you've got to worry about,it's letting the bike lul you into exceeding yours;)

Until three years ago, I'd been off bikes for twenty years, my last bike back then being a Honda 550 Four. After my absence from the biking scene for so long and not fully appreciating how much bikes had come on, I bought a Kawasaki ZX6R and was amazed at how powerful it was........ Oh had bikes come on so much. After a year getting used to being on two wheels again, I got tempted when I visited my local Honda dealership to buy a new pair of gloves........... I came out with a 2011 Repsol Fireblade.......... Being really cautious and slightly worried If I jumped on a 1ltr sports bike too soon, I rode away from the dealership a week later very cautiously. After being on the bike for 30 minutes I felt like we were one. No doubt its one of the easiest 1ltr sports bike to ride and so stable and balanced.

Now I'm on my second blade, loving every minute and riding it as often as I can, I'm sure you'll soon feel the same.

The beauty of the blade is that it's as easy to ride in town as it is throttle pinned on the track

Enjoy! I went from running a 600 hornet for 2 years after my DAS and then onto a 929 fireblade. The blade just seemed to do everything well.. so hope you enjoy yours!
