    Hello everyone!

Purchased myself a shiny new (old) Fireblade a few weeks ago and was reliably informed this here forum was a good place to join :) Moved up from a CBR600f-sport which was great, but after two rides I think I like the Fireblade a little more!

She is a 06, few little marks but generally pretty sweet. Does have slight damage to the mudguard which I have explained to the missus means it MUST be replaced with a carbon fiber one! (suggestions welcome). I also explained this means the rear hugger MUST be carbon fiber as well. I am sure she understood!...

    Couple of pics:

Hello and welcome mate... Best shape blade ever made dude !! I personally went with power bronze. You roll your dice a little with the huggers fitment as i had to send the first back, but they do one for yours with a nice silver mesh inlay that would go well with your colour scheme !
    Heres mine but in gold:

Cheers chaps! Looking forward to the 4/5 days of summer we get here in Scotland now :)

That is some machine Blackness, read a good bit of your build thread, good stuff. Will have a look see at the mudguard, the silver should be nice. Forgot to note whats been done to the bike already: Scorpion can, braided lines, tail tidy, adjustable levers. I have a HRC rear reservoir tube to fit soon and also heed to work out how to attach my Kriega bag!

Hi and welcome. Have a look at King Carbon, seem to get good reviews. With regards to the Kriega luggage, myself and others on here use a Renntec sports rack.

Cheers will have a look at the carbon bits.

Plan on having a Renntec rack for when I head off with the missus but I would like to have the Kriega bags on the back seat when on my own. Probably some undertray fettling required so I can get to the subframe.

Cheers Colin. Blade is awesome, like the 600 but better in every way. Only gripe would be the front forks need a little softening, little 'skippy' in some corners.

Oh man weather, tell me about it. Only made it out for a decent run on Easter Monday really. Took a chance Friday and booked today off and it's pouring. Sat bored watching telly...

With the Renntec rack in place the Kriega straps securely to the rack while resting on the back seat, keeps it from rubbing on tail section.

Ah I get ya, yeah might be a winner. Might just buy the tank harness thingy to mount my 10 litre bag for day trips! I haven't actually tried my magnetic tank bag but I assume it wont work...

    Cheers for the welcomes :)
