I am busy changing the oil and filter on my 2012 1000RR

Can anyone tell me the amount of oil it takes with a filter please

I also see it has a dipstick so is it checked with it screwed in or just resting

    Many thanks

Dipstick is checked with stick resting on thread.

It takes 3L for oil and filter change.

    ;)

Cheers lads that is exactly how much I have in, it is halfway up the dipstick when resting in the casing

Is the bike level, or do you have the rear raised with a paddock stand? With only 3l to play with it does not take much to show it a little low.

    Hi there

Sorry about the late reply I did not think anyone else would reply.

The bike was level with the oil level in the middle of the dip stick

Thanks again everyone for their replies
