I just heard there may be a recall on SPs 14 and 15 due to faulty Ohlins

Not sure if it's true or not but if you own one I would get it checked

Just been down to the Garage and got my numbers, typed em in and got a "Your TTX is not effected" message!
If anyone gets an invalid Part Number message make sure you've only typed in the first 3 numbers after the YA KA etc bit, the last number although on the shock is not required and causes an 'invalid' message if inputted.

    Happy Days! :D

No Martin it was gravel in middle of road and I've done 2 track days on the SP since with the shock holding out but going to check numbers just looks like I'll have to remove it to see them :-(

Yes Bob you can see the numbers whilst the shock is on the Bike, they are a tadge small though and you'll need a small LED Torch or sumat to help make them out.

God knows why they print them that size, there is room for bigger numbers.

The numbers are also on the box if you purchased new and still have the box, no help for the sp owners I'm afraid though

A nut may loosen, and your bike may crash

When it reaches European you will get a letter off visa for recall it can take months ,prob most dealers not aware yet until you enlighten them,as said its to do with a slack bolt. Checked mine but can't see any numbers on top prob have to remove shock ,I will wait until I get letter off the wobbles vosa

just spoken to honda care and they are going to investigate. I emailed them the link to the ohlins site which shows not to ride and how my dealer said it was ok as honda hadn't issued a recall and asked who would be liable in event of a crash due possible suspension failure and could I have it in writingbwhich they declined until they have investigated.i also told them that yamaha have issued a recall on r1ms with the senshock fitted? Hope it isn't going to be a similar situation to c-abs

Honda have called back this morning and said a recall is imminent but it has to go through vosa first and did not say exactly how long imminent was?

If it is anything like as long as rich had to wait for his sp ohlin's forks from honda it will be a very very long wait.
