My HM+ shifter has been causing me some greif on the road its fine but last 2 track days it has started to behave very erratically. But only after 3rd or fourth session of the day?
Symtoms have been false neutrals, with complete engine cut out, on down shifting repeatedly at the end of straights resulting in worrying over shoots and a couple of trips into the greenery.
False neutrals on upshifts with cut out and occasionally when going from 3rd to 4th under full gas and at 11+k revs it will just cut briefly then go back to third resulting in violent kick in the arse and wheelie, so bad that screen has hit me hard in the chin twice.
In addition had complete igi failure on the start line, with richies help we found that the control unit was not powering up and that the plug between the main loom and the coils loom was loose and had 2mm of play in it after taping and zip tying it powered back up but still behaved erratically. Worked fine on the road for 3 weeks then fine for 1st 3 sessions at anglesey today before more erratic and scary random gear selection / cut outs.
Richie has suggested by passing the plug to see if the coil loom is at fault or the plug or the main control unit.
Any help on this would be very much appreciated as not only is it scary and dangerous but really has upset my progress and confidence on what have been some great track days where i really was making some progress and improvement.
    many thanks

If this was happening to me then I would by-pass the quick shifter and start on a level playing field. All you have to do is put the original coil leads back on the coils and leave the rest of the wiring alone. This will tell you if it is the quickshifter, or a problem with the bike. I had a similar problem last year at Portimao and it ended up being a spark plug braking down

Some futher info that may be usefull.
I usually run sens 50% and kill time 58 - 60 for road use. I have tried a fair fiew combinations but never found any great difference.
That said I have noticed a direct correlation between kill time and the rev window sweet spot so usually drop the kill to 55 for track as you are using the upper end of the revs. Please bear in mind that each time the igi has cut it has reset to default 50 / 60
I also noticed on yesterdays track session that despite checking the chain tension and lube the day before it had increased to 50+mm slack i.e. the chain could be pushed up against the underside of the swing arm.
Could this excessive slack be affecting the shifter?

basically this, best to rule out the QS by disconnecting it.doesn't sound like it's whats causing the issue.
