Reading manual and a penny has dropped.. Whilst man handling gearbox around examin it the washer on the end of input shaft fell off, didn't think anything off it.. But manual says u need to lever washer off with maybe abit of heat if required.. so maybe that's poped off when I had the problem from 4th to 5th and the noise is where gears were lose on shaft??

I still have that gearbox somewhere in the garage.

Well I don't know exactly what I did but I was going quite fast up a dual carriage way with a 2012 blade behind me, I didn't want him to get past but maybe I tried a bit too hard lol
I will try and dig it out the garage tomorrow mate

Iv decided I'm going to get a shop to take a look at gearbox and check the bearings before new gear goes on and back in bike.. Really itchin to get it back in and test ride but after getting genuine gaskets and parts ect I think best to do the job once and right...

    Update!!

Took gearbox to Nova Racing in partridge green near Horsham and they are Top guys there, real bike people who know what there talking about!! So anyway he stripped box in front of me and inspected it all, confirmed gear 3/4 was fckd, rebuilt it with new circlips and the new 3/4th gear I already had and new thrush washer! Took him 20mins, was there about an hour chattin really great guys I highly recommend look em up on there web site!! http://www.novaracing.co.uk

Anyway 2night I put gearbox back in and clutch ect and test rode her and bingo all sorted!! Was only a short blast but no noise in 4th gear now or any other gears

Will go for good ride tomo so might purches some breakdown cover online 2night lol
