After hearing of next doors Kawasaki being stolen. These low lifes are not having my gear! I decided to beef up the security on the garage. As well as the locks, I installed a cctv set up from Maplins.http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/swann-dvr8-3425-dvr-8-channel-cctv-security-kit-with-4-cameras-a44rk.A VERY GOOD bit of kit.The cameras are very clear, colour and infrared B/W at night. Not only does it record through the cameras it has a wifi alarm system with the siren you can take indoors.I wanted this so that I can catch em at it without them knowing I have been alerted. If I'm out I can leave the siren in the garage to ward them off if they decided to break in while I'm not there.Another feature is that the system emails me if it has been triggered.I can then go online with the App and view through the cameras on my phone if I'm out.Its that good I'm installing one at my shop too.

I use the wi-fi version of the Swann system, great picture etc, awesome software, but the problem I have is too many 2.4ghz signals around my area and the cameras constantly drop out, wish I had gone for the less expensive wired version now, but hindsight is a great thing, ;)

The only thing I would say is, if these low life's try to get your bike while you are there and they don't hear the siren and you go out them, indeed..... them, as they are not likely to go as just one person to nick a heavy bike which they will lift into the back of a van, you also have to assume they might be tooled up, and "if" there is only one of you against 3 or 4 tooled up blokes with no morals, you may well end up in hospital or worse. If it were me I would let them here the siren, get there pictures and hope they leg it. ;)

The Swann system is great though, I totally agree and would highly recommend the wired version to anyone.
