About to renew my insurance, broker has asked me to confirm that the bike is fitted with a Thatcham category 2 alarm. Is standard HISS (RR 9) Thatcham cat 2 ?

Standard HISS is not an alarm tho, only an imobiliser.

I'd tell them it is standard with the standard honda HISS imobiliser, thatcham approved, but they should check how they rate it.

(most ins companies will be fine. If one is being awkward... plenty of others I've found)

Got all the same mods and some more declared but the one that caused the policy to increase by 25% was the quickshifter. MCE did it for £226 so all sorted for another year:)
