Hi guys has anyone bought the new 2008-2011 tail tidy from r and g it comes with replacement tool tray etc .... There £90 ish give or take and look to br the cheapest bit of plastic ever not the usual metal type was shocked what are ur thoughts on this

Mine was ok, i fit it last night and had no issues. Took a while to fit but didnt really give the quality issue a thought
I am with the OP, overpriced shite and poor quality. On my 2010 the side support brackets sheared after 2 years. They refused to replace it, as in their words 'oh thats quite old' Cost 40 quid for the replacement part only to find that it was modified in the area the previous one had broken and was thicker material. On querying this, the response was 'that's normal R&D development to change designs', decoded that meant, we use you our customer to test our shite design and bear the cost when it fails. Then lo and behold, the number led failed, how often do freaking leds fail, another 12 quid for a replacement, IMO one crap company.
Sounds dreadful I have had zero experience of their customer services and to be fair my R&G tidy came with the bike
Had to get new parts for my tail tidy but as it was bought thru DT they sorted it out no problem. Just went to phone r&g regarding issue with short spindle on fork protectors and the numbers listed on their website are a digit short,hmmmmm
To counter this, I have had quite a few different products from them over the years Including a number of different tail tidys and found their quality good and their afterslaes support good too. Lost some bolts once transferring some crash bungs and they sent me some along with new stickers FOC. Also speak to the guys every year at the NEC and again all a friendly bunch.
