    hi guys

removed my radiator cap to see a very thin white mayonnaise looking line on top
i thought this is the first signs of bad head gasket talking to my dad he convinced me if i had bad gasket than white staff would be build inside the engine specially inside the oil cap

    what are your thought

he recons this is only down to my very badly damaged radiator nothingelse

    please share your thoughts :))

Looks like you have some water in the system, oil and water makes the white stuff. if its not loosing water from the rad it may just be condensation.
I would keep a close eye on water level, and flush then change oil.
    Mike.

Sorry read Oil cap for rad cap........... Too old.

Strange to see it in the coolant system as that is pressurised and that's why it normally shows in the oil system/filler. A quick trip to a garage and a coolant sniff test should confirm of deny the worst.

Never seen mayo in the cooling system, but seen it in the oil plenty of times. Have you check this?

    Oil cap is clean

I rode to Bath and back few days back 260 miles total
    I have a bad radiator(damaged fins)
Colant was changed only few months ago
I overheat if I let it idle so I never let it go more than 104 105 so I filter to keep temp down.

Sometimes the coolant in expansion tank goes higher than the highest mark but it is ok after few days i think when it gets hot if I switch it off over 100 c than coolant boils and goes on to expansion tank but later it gets sucker in again because my radiator was filled to top

    Any ideas

Is there any test or something can be done to understand if I have bad gasket.

You need a garage with a sniffer. They can check the coolant for combustion gasses (hydrocarbons). It's a quick, simple and conclusive test.

Also you can try taking the rad cap off and runnng the engine to see if the coolant raises and lowers with the engine revs, but the sniff test is best.
