    hi all,
So my bike is about 6 months old, done 1000 miles, and about 500 miles ago I fitted some Asv levers.
Firstly the lever feels spongier than with the standard lever, I thought it was just the settings on it, but then today you can pull it back to the bar then when you pull it again it stop about 1cm away from the bar.
Then today, I had a brilliant trackway at Snetterton, ( first time on this bike and I love it! ) but the front brakes started squealing.....
I am going to book it in to the garage as not too happy with bleeding brakes, but has anyone else experienced this with asv levers, or by replacing the levers could thus introduce air in the system? Could it be anything else? And why would the brakes start to squeal.... Anyway, I hve never had this before, and this is a new bike so any advice to put my mind at rest would be really appreciated.
    Cheers

In my mind levers won't affect it, I found on track days I've had to cable tie lever back over lunch time. Are u adjusting the span of levers when they come back further?

I fitted brembo master cylinder and had no problems after that

Hi, they come back further then when pulled they go back to normal on second pull... I adjust them so they don't come back as far. But also they feel a bit spongy, the bike stops high is the main thing, but feels weird.
This is slightly off topic, but how fast do you reckon a blade does red lined in 4th? I covered my speedo up but intrigued to know?

    U got 14 plate blade?

My bikes felt like that, I'm not sure how or why but after having suspension set up they feel spot on. But saying that I cable tied lever for few days at same time.

Not sure on speed mate, I fitted k tech shock. Sits a little closer on left side as sat on bike but not catching

Yeah 14 blade. Not to worry, think I'll pop it down to the garage, maybe braided hoses will help but I am getting my suspension set up in July, so that may fix it.
There was 100% suspension company at Snetterton today but figured I wanted to know how it feels with standard suspension, tyres etc on track and now going to start fiddling with bits....

Might have cooked the pads, or boiled the fluid.

Try cable tie around the lever and leave it over night

    Hi,
No non-abs, I cable tied the lever but not 100% still so I've booked it in for braided hoses and for the garage to have a look at it.
    Cheers

A couple of years ago I fitted a set of Hel lines front and rear also a full set of sbs excel pads and it has totally transformed my brakes they are second to none! I paid a lot of attention to bleeding them start at the top and work down, cable tied the lever over night, then bled the master cyinder again to get any bubbles out as they travel up! And while the lever was cable tied I tightened and torqued the caliper mount bolts so the pads were centralised on the discs! It's worth doing this if the jobs getting done elsewhere (if you have the tools) to ensure there's no binding and have even pressure! ;)
