Didn't want to keep adding to someone else's thread and just wondered if any other people had the dash for 2012 cbr1000rr . I have been struggling with gear indicator could well be my fault . Gears wasn't showing except neutral when I fitted dash 2 minute job cracking bit of kit so I set it up manually all good unplugged as I have no clock bracket yet stuck in cupboard . Put clocks back on to test QUICKSHIFTER with new REARSETS and no gear indicator again ????? . So was told by Arthur and HM the 12-14 have a mechanical switch so should show gears without even running . I downloaded the firmware again from laptop to dash still no good so last resort changed clocks from 2012 to 2013 model in settings and all good perfect working as they should so well happy as my stress levels were at about 82% ha ha . I don't think it will affect me as 12-13 exactly same bike unless someone knows different ? . I noticed also when connected to laptop not on bike when in 12 settings showed the box but no gear now on 13 settings it shows N in the box on dash also there are some tiny differences in menus . https://vimeo.com/111562665
Lee I don't think your blade has a gear position sensor could be wrong but you can set it up on paddocks and go in the menu gear ratio at a constant 4000 revs off the top of my head when I did mine ther you go lee GEAR RATIO SETUP: Some manufactures send this info automatically to the HM Dash but others require you set this up manually. Should you need to do this manually we recommend that you do it on a secure paddock stand with at least 2 persons present. To do this select SET GEAR RATIOS. Start the bike if not already running making sure you are in neutral. Go in to first gear and run at a steady RPM (we recommend 4000rpm but whatever rpm you select make sure you use the same for all gears selection) hold this steady and press SEL this will store the ratio selected for 1st gear and move on 2nd. Change in to 2nd gear and again hold at a steady 4000rpm and repeat the above process. Do this for all gears. Once completed it will return you to the GEAR RATIO SETUP screen
Na mate it has a mechanical gear position switch doesn't need to be set up same as original clocks you could click into gear on side stand not running and it would show on clocks all sorted now if you see video cheers bud .
Need to speak to Arthur to work out which one would suit me best.. 2012 connector but don't have the mechanical gear switch of course..
Yeah mate you buy the dash you will have a pre installed gear indicator you can change from race to 2 x road modes so the gear indicator is smaller with speed water temp etc . I can show the different layouts later if required ? .. Also a cool thing you can update download lap times data with the dash off bike just plugged into laptop . Also another thing there is a ODO tool to put your mileage straight onto clocks so mileage doesn't start from 0
I should never have read this post. I've gone right off you lot, just bought an HM GP and now reading all this want a dash too
Sorry to bring up an old thread. Bought an HM dash but it's not showing RPM, so I'm unable to set the gears etc. It's showing netural..Anyone have an idea as to what's wrong? Bought it new from HM. They ran the dash up and all is fine, so it's pointing to something with my bike. I've a full Bazzaz system fitted, not sure if this will make a difference. It's doing my head in lol
Sorry for jumping on the thread like this. Wedgie I was wondering if they have fixed the download problem with the lap timer ? ( You could only download the last session )
